There is no difference between these. For your convenience, we have imported the Red Pocket Mobile SIM packs from the U.S.A. back to Singapore so that you can get them before you depart and able to use it once you arrive. SIM cards are sold at the same price here and in the U.S.A..

What's more, with the Link Service, you can forward your Singapore calls to your U.S.A. number, so you won't miss any of your calls.

You will get your U.S.A. number immediately after you register your SIM card (under the 'PayGo' plan) at http://goredpocket.com. Note that the U.S.A. phone number is city specific, so ensure that you enter a postal code on an address in the city which you are visiting. This will be especially beneficial if you have friends in that city who will be calling you, so that they will not need to incur and local U.S.A. long distance fees.

USA uses GSM frequency 850/1900 versus Singapore's GSM 900/1800. You'll need a compatible tri-band or quad-band phone to receive coverage in the USA, preferably a quad-band phone to get optimal reception across USA and receive all GSM frequencies. This is the same even if you try to use your Singapore SIM card and roam in USA, since the Singapore operator will have to switch to a USA operator when you're over there. Please check with your phone manufacturer for compatibility.

Yes, it is. However, do note that like all the other prepaid SIM cards which we offer, the Red Pocket Mobile SIM card comes in normal SIM card size and must be clipped down to a microSIM before it can be used in the iPhone4. While we do not offer this service, it is available at most phone shops across Singapore.

Prior to using your "Red Pocket Mobile" prepaid SIM card, you'd need to register your card at http://goredpocket.com (note: you would need to have your U.S.A. address ready with its postal code. If you going there for a holiday, you can enter your hotel's address).
Important: Please activate under the Pay-As-You-Go ('PayGo') Plan, else you will not be able to use the USD10 top-up voucher found with the SIM.

No, you do not need to have the SIM card in your phone when activating the SIM card. Please only put the SIM card into your phone when you arrive in the U.S.A., since it does not have roaming functions and will not be function in Singapore.

If you're still in Singapore, you will not be able to use the Red Pocket Mobile SIM card. This is because it is not enabled with roaming functions and thus can only be used in the U.S.A..

Yes, you would be able to access data immediately at USD0.01 / KB (under the default "Pay-As-You-Go" plan). If you intend to access a high volume of data, you may wish to subscribe to other Red Pocket Mobile's plans such as the 4G plan at USD $49.99 per month which entitles you to 250Mb of data per month (additional data is chargeable at USD $10 per 10 Mb) and unlimited calls and SMS within the U.S.A.
